Dublin Bay 11/10/08

#1 Post by bigstyle »

People:Me and My Dad

Duration:9:00 - 6:00

Tide:HW @15:30

Weather:Lovely very little wind

Bait: Feathers and Macs

Rigs: Feathers and Animal rigs

Results: 8lb cod, 8 Macs, 10lb Ray, Gurnad, Dabs, Dogs

Report: Forecast was ok so got out for the day. Macs few and far between. Spent most of the day drifting around various marks looking for macks. God the cod while doing this. Ended up with enough macs to fishing the slack so anchored up about 2:00 and fished for animals the rest of the day. Had a nice Ray as the tide turned and we missed 2 tope runs. Loads of dogs to keep us busy as well. The bay was alive with birds working the surface and ganets diving but couldnt get and more macs.

So Saturday was the run of the fry cos i've never seen so many birds working and the macks are following up.

Were they all over the bay or in a certain area?
