CDSA New Members for 2009

#1 Post by cdsa »

Hi All
At this time we are looking for new members, for the complete beginner to the more experienced anglers.
for our club; & for our 2009 venues. First Prize for most scores for 2009: Will be Guaranteed with conditions: of €1,000 with good 2nd/3rd/4th/ & biggest fish of the season: April to November.
Clondalkin Deep Sea Angling was founded by Gerry Rooney From Clondalkin back in 2004, for the past 5 years we fished all parts of the Irish coasts, Wicklow/Wexford/Waterford/Cork/Sligo/Mayo with great results.
Most of our venues are over night, Fishing for: Bass/Cod/Mackerel/Ray/Gurnard/Whiting/Pollock/Ling/Tope/Shark/Skate etc: We fish from well equipped angling boats fitted with VHF radios/Fishfinders/ Toilets/& Tea & Coffee facilities on board, We work from a score system: for every fish you catch over 12”inches you get scores, and at the end of the season your scores are added up and the most scores you get; you then go into a place for our prizes, 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/ & the biggest fish of the season, we hold a presentation night at the end of the season with great prizes: like cash/rods/reels/trophies etc: Our season is from: April to November and membership fee is €80.00, for the season: we will also be doing beach venues, Once a year we do a main venue in Clewbay in Mayo here we fish for skates up to 198lbs, with great prizes on this venue up to €2,500 for the biggest skate over a 2 day venue. This venue is ran by the Helm Pub in Mayo and there does be about 150 anglers from all parts of Ireland/Scotland/Wales/England/ with live music every night, & great food. Here are some Examples of our proposed venues for 2009:

Hi Gerry
Did you affiliate to the IFSA? If not, did you have any issue sorting out insurance for the club/boat?

Hi JD
No we are not joining IFSA, keeping it social, and friendly, the boats are not been used for the club they are private owned boats and not used for club fishing, only social trips. all club venues are on all proper angling boats in Kilmore Qy etc: and are fully insured by the skippers. the club would not have it any other way safety comes first. Thanks
