Spigot

#1 Post by round_ourway »

My AA Match Spigot allowance has nearly gone and I'm looking to it 're-done' again. Does anyone know what needs to be done or is it better to send it off to a specialist.

cheers in advance

Its not that its gone, the factory started the shoulder on the tip to soon (this means the band of wrap should be about 1/2" higher) the easiest way is to rub some candle wax around the male spigot, this will give it some bulk and make it fit better without doing any harm to anything.

Make sure you use old white wax candles, the kind that doesnt have any coating on the outside and just stroke it long ways down the blank as you work around. When you put it into the butt section any wax over will just get forced off and the fit should be tight enough.
