Report: thanks to samo after the amazing haul at the jimmy smith i took all his bait and some off another backcasting fellow, thanks whoever you were - was delighted to get my hands on some rag for this side of the country
headed out looking for anything really - a walker came up to me and gave me the usual questions but was all about - you must have shocking patience - i was thinking about saturday and 5 hours in the heavy rain and wind for a blank - thats patience!
wasnt looking too promising with all the weed - had that will i wont i move thinking going on - but as it filled the weed eased and the fish showed
first up a nice flat of 32cm on a lump of mack - had awful bright orange spots, on the fins aswell but was rough on the lateral line - still looked round more than diamondy but couldnt have been a plaice could it

 then another 27cm
this one had the mac and the rag foulded down its side!
then another two 25cm and both on rag
it was fish a cast there for a while - had lads in the carpark throwing on full beams to see what i was at - also had another few eejits calling me a freak - thanks for that lads - all part of the experience

and then finally a good one about 35cm - very thick and broad on the rag aswell
delighted with 5 fish after the blank the day before
