interesting read

2 things that struck me, 1. recreational angling accounting for 10% of total catch worldwide, seems like an awful lot but then i'm only comparing commercial / recreational sea fishing in uk and ireland, where i really doubt it could be that much

and 2. the need for recreational anglers to be more organised, voca and political as well as having government bodies and politicians who give a damn and can see further than the votes of the commercial lobby.
