People:me

Duration:3-30pm-8pm

Tide:rising

Weather:dd dead calm, sunny

Bait: squid, mack, rag
dd
Rigs: 2 hook flappers,, 1 hook mini rig

Results: 3 lsd, 2 dabs, 1 flounder, lots of whiting and pollock.

Report:Had the harbour all to myself for the day  .Got lots of pollock and whiting , some fairly decent, 30cms(is that decent size?,,it is for me  ).Got a doggie on the beachcaster and handed the small rod for a min to an older gentleman walking on the pier and couldnt get it back off him   . He caught 3 pollock in about half an hour, taking the biggest home with him   . I had to remind him it was time to pick up his grandaughter   . He went off with the fishing bug  . A nice variety of fish all day with flounder, dabs, doggies, pollock and whiting. I couldnt believe there werent more people fishing on such a lovely afternoon and evening. I reeled in a crab at one stage, dont know which type, which was bitten in half by something on the way in :? :? . A few doubles of dabs, and flounder and whiting , ended the session for me on a good note. As Arnie says, i'll be back!!!

I was thinking it was a hermit, minus the shell

Great to hear your spreading the fishing vibe Dave.

Lovely afternoon for it.....I chose to have a round of golf instead.

Great mix of fish there and great you had the place to yourself. Were you doing any spinning off the pier?

No didnt do any spinning, was using the spinning rod with a size 4 hook with little strips of mack or rag for small pollock etc just off the pier . Could see them taking the bait , they were actually going for the 1 ounce lead more than the bait.
