waterfoot beach

#1 Post by minty »

People:me and banksy

Duration:6.00pm--12.30am

Tide:high-falling

Weather:ddcalm and dry

Bait:rag mack and sandeel
dd
Rigs:two hook flappers and pulley

Results:me-12 pollock,1 plaice, 1doggie 2 codling and 2 small bass--
banksy 9 pollock 1 flounder 1 doggie

Report:
headed for Waterfoot beach as heard it was fishing well, set up just behind the square house
with one rod each. first fish landed within minutes(small pollack) and it stayed like this for the
whole night. getting good hard bites as soon as the bait hit the sea bed. none of the fish were
of any great size but the fact that it was a fish a cast was something else, the bass would'nt
have fed a midget (no offence to any midgets on here) but the fact is i caught 2 of them on
Waterfoot beach( my first bass ever ).Ran out of bait shortly after midnight so headed home
with a smile that will last all weekend. All fish returned alive and well
some times catching crabs is a good thing.........or is it...........?

fished waterfoot last sat nite with the east antrim club and it was pretty much the same a fish a cast but instead of bass we had a load of weavers most of the nite. one of the guy picked one up thinkin it was a small whiting he was luck not to get stung my the wee critter. nice work on gettin the bass always nice to get an antrim bass.

Nice one!! Sounds like a good night. Especially with the 2 bass even if they were on the small side nice to know they are around.
