Duration:5:30- 8:30

Tide:hw @ 5.15 ...4.8

Weather:flat calm & sunny

Bait:mackeral
dd
Rigs:2 hook pennels 2/0 and 3 hook flapppers 2m

Results:2 thornbacks 4lb & 9lb, tub guranrd 35cm and 5/6 whiting to 28cm




Report:just decided on a handy session after i came home today got most of the fish early on and only a few whiting into dark, lad beside was getting more than he could keep up with as it got round dusk..hammering bites aswel. last cast put out a flapper and picked up double shot...nice ray aswel for all my effort.

Nice fishing there gearoid fair play to ya. Wouldnt mind getting down there for a session some time.

Nice Thornies!
I saw a netsman with several good Thornies and a Sting Ray of about 20 lbs.
at Querrin Pier, Shannon Estuary today. He also had a Monkfish of about 40 lbs. released.
I thought the Monkfish had disappeared!
If they keep netting the ray will disappear also.

sure what can you do these people will never learn..dont think ive ever met a netsman in all my years..bar the salmon netters that is and they are gone now..the numbers of sea-trout this year in a small local river was unbelievable..best in 20 years some were saying...

Nice fish Gearoid. Be down Dingle for a week from 18th next month. Hope to get up onto the estuary for a session.

Good catch there Geariod , we had a few good fish a few weeks ago . Now we have returned back to sussex the codling have arrived in pevensey fish up to 5lb being caught . Hows the casting going ?

well done gearoid, thats a few nice thornies. nice fishing + pic's.
i was intending to have a go at them today again, but no joy :cry: for the weather up here is unbeliveable, heavy wind and the rain is relentless. :evil:Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
as ole rab c said " see me' see the sea' i love the sea me"
right i'am off for a swally!!!!!!! so were's the F***'n purse!!!!!!!

Hope the casting is going well :D Nice few Ray there :cry: Its been raining like stair rods all weekend here, needless to say i stayed in the warm looking out the window . O dear clocks go back soon. :cry:
