Report: Myself and big mick arrived at greystones to find mark and corbyeire setting up . It was a bit breezy and choppy but nice and mild. After brief introductions we set up and started fishing. I had a corkwing wrasse on the small rod close in under my feet, a nice start to the session. Everyone was catching regularly with lots of different species showing. A sea scorpion came next, the third in a week for me (never caught one before that  ), followed by a few pollock,,,all on the small rod in close on small strips of rag or mack on a size 1 hook. I caught most of my fish in daylight with maybe 4 or 5 showing after dark, mostly whiting. Last cast produced a good bite from what turned out to be a doggie,,,who got stuck between rocks below me. Luckily i scrambled down and managed to land him ,though i lost my lead and the other hook when i pulled it free. I nearly jumped in when a big rat calmly strolled in between big mick and me sniffing at the bait   . Mark and corbyeire were landing whiting and flounder to beat the band,,, i couldnt keep count but mark had at least 20 fish, including some nice flounder,,. In the darkness and with rocky ground underfoot it was hard to keep in contact with the lads and we didnt have too much banter among us,,,,but we were all here for the fishing and i'm sure everyone left happy. Nice to meet Corby and put a face to the name ,,,,next time we'll have more time to talk

Sorry I didnt get a chance to put the report up Dave, been too busy at work

First time out in a few weeks due to work/holiday commitments.

Myself and Corbyeire stayed on until midnight, I finished with approx 30 fish, Corbyeire wasnt far of that total, so all in all not a bad session, I added a coalie to my species list for this year (I'm suprised its taken so long given the venues I fish  )

Between myself and Corbyeire we had.....Plaice, Flounder, Dabs, Pouting, Coalie, Whiting, LSD and Pollock, dont think I've forgotten anything.

Nothing to interesting to take pics of, but I'll post one of Brians Plaice when I get a chance.

Nice to met Mick

Nice fishing lads 8) Was on South beach last night with one of my mates, good nights fishing! Plenty of dogs, coalies, whiting, flounder and plaice. Decent size fish too plaice was about 38cm, whiting up to 35cm and coalies over 45cm1 Flounder were small enough all about 20-25cm, rag worked the best

Well I finally got out of work and as far as Dalkey yesterday afternoon. I knew the tide was low but thought I'd have a shot off a rock mark that has been good in the past. Blanked big time but think the crabs had a good feed from my bait. Need to be better prepared for next Friday!!

i had a poor cod as well mark

only other thing to say was some of the whiting were large nearing 30cms - a change from 15!

apart from the tip tape being raised oh so slightly - then catching my line - then wrapping itself round the tip - removing it and a pile of line and my rig

looks like eric will be needing a lighter in the passenger seat on a journey south somewhere
