Donaghadee Harbour Co Down 14th September 2008

#1 Post by nobuzz »

People: Me

Duration: 7:30 -11:00am

Tide: Rising

Weather:dd Good

Bait: Prawns & frozen mackeral
dd
Rigs: 2 hook flapper

Results: Not great. Some small Pollack & a good Scorpion

Report: Not a great session. Not one wrasse!

I was experimenting a bit with bait. Raw Tiger Prawn and smaller cooked & peeled prawns.

I didn't get a touch on the raw prawn all morning.

The small prawns kept getting stripped from the hook with barely a knock on the rod tip!

All the pollack & the scorpion came on the mack!

Gotta get me some rag for next time!

I went to Orlock for an hour on the way home. I just fished feathers. Not a touch!

Still, it was nice to be out.
Species List 2012 (Me) - Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Plaice, Codling, pollack, dab, SS Scorpion Fish, Ballan Wrasse, Codling.

Species List 2012 (Daniel) - Not got started yet :-(
