Raheny Open run yesterday on Kilcoole, Newcastle and 5-Mile Point.

Miserable weather with a very strong south, south-west wind and rain. Plenty of colour in the sea and loads of small fish landed.

Kilcoole and Newcastle best for small whiting mostly with some dabs, flounder, colding and bass. Best fish was a 32cm pouting in Kilcoole.

All daylight fishing and winner had 17 fish. Best baits lug tipped with mackerel and sandeels.
