People: Me & Daniel
Duration: 8:00 -11:30
Tide: Rising to High
Weather:dd Nice, then not nice!
Bait: Rag & Prawn
dd
Rigs: One-up, one-down.
Results: Ballen Wrasse, Corkwing Wrasse, Rockling, Dab & Pollack.
Report:
First ever Rockling (3 Bearded I believe) and first ever Dab (3").
Lots of small Pollack and Wrasse. The biggest Wrasse was a Ballen about 11/4lbs.
I tried out my new beachcaster. Lets just say I need a bit of practice (and lots of room for the run-up!)
Met a couple of fellow anglers (nice guys) who'd been there since 3:00am. They had the best spot but can't blame them if they get up that early.

Nice going there guys, congrats on the dab. I made it down on short notice to the Dee yesterday evening and seen odds and ends of king rag and thought Al you may have been down at sum stage during the day (or early morning )
 )
Sounds like you boys got all the fish and didnt leave much for the rest of us I got down at low tide and it was well out, and caught the last hour of daylight, got into 1 decent Ballen on the bottom. Then it was onto the float as the sea was extremely calm, we got into a load of pollock straight away to 1lb nothing special. I managed 1 mack on the float also. Plenty about but nothing to get excited about.

We should get a session some time during the week, I have thursday and friday off for a few sessions???

Thanks guys.
Yeah, I realised my mistake on the Rockling, Changed it on my species list but forgot about the body of the report!
It went quieter after u guys left.
Which one were you Al, obviously a wee bit early for Jordan.
I'm going to try some evening, that seems to be the time for the bigger pollack (& mackeral).
I'm glad you guys left before I started "testing" my new rod. It wasn't pretty!

Haha. You wouldn't have been laughing if you'd seen 3oz of lead heading your direction (or any direction within a 180 degree arc LOL!)
Can't make Thursday. Might manage sunday some time.
