idea for comp next year

#1 Post by croppyboy »

Hi Lads

just an idea for a comp next year instead of a 1 rod 3 hook rule how about having 1 comp with a 3 hook rule but 2 rods ie you can have 1 hook out far and a 2 hook trace in close

Sounds a good idea and makes for less chance of a blank.

Keeps the bait diggers happy as well

er.. have you never heard of the 2 hook flyer??

have done this in the odd comp where one bait gets put out as far as possible and a flyer with 2 hooks thrown/slide as far as possible..

that could be done on a few deep water rock marks.. (float)

it would be hard to have a lure comp unless you could move around to work an area of water

No problem with organising something like that if the interest was there. It would have to be a seperate thing, no way a MA comp could be done this way.

Yip agree there Pete and Steve re the MA, maybe only certain species count? Wrasse, Pollack, Gars, mini species etc, no doggies, mackeral or eels possibly? Although conger on a float would be great! :D
