millisle lagoon

people-only me
tide-flood
weather-breezy, bright
results- 3 flounder and 1 dab
baits-maggots and segments of earth worms
rigs-waggler set ups and bubble float
duration-about 2 hours.

i just went down for couple of hours mullet fishin but the mullet were beyond casting range so i decided to fish nearer to the bottom. so i got a couple of flatties but all just about 5cm in length.
the day before i got a mackerel over the back of it.
Lure caught Fish 2014- Pollack, Coalie, Pouting, Poor Cod, Dab, Cod, Whiting, Flounder, Plaice, Bass, SeaTrout, Grey Gurnard, Scad, SandSmelt, Red Gurnard, Launce, Lesser Sandeel, Rock Goby, Black Goby, Shanny, Mackerel, Herring, Dragonet, Ballan Wrasse, Corkwing Wrasse, GoldSinney Wrasse, Lesser Weaver, Butterfish, Perch, Pike

Fly Caught Fish 2014- Pollack, Coalie, Whiting, Mackerel, Sea Trout, Brown Trout, Perch, Roach

Biggest Fish of 2014-15lb Conger Eel

well done dan did you get the fish on the maggots or earthworms?

great to see a few flatties kicking about. dan next time you go, lemme know. i've tried millisle twice and havent seen a single mullet!i desperately need 2 catch one before the summers out!

I tried the lagoon briefly this morning.

I threw plenty of bread in but didn't see a single fish. (Plenty of well fed gulls though!)
Species List 2012 (Me) - Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Plaice, Codling, pollack, dab, SS Scorpion Fish, Ballan Wrasse, Codling.

Species List 2012 (Daniel) - Not got started yet :-(

the mullet seem to have got out
the worm was best
