conger rig

#1 Post by fergal »

what type of rig should i use for congers. i'll be fishing very snaggy ground and im not sure wheter to make a pulley rig or a more fixed type. i'll incorperate a rotten bottom into it but can anyone provide a drawing or decent picture of what i should be making?

you could use a pulley rig or just use a swivel on your leader and attach your snood to that though you wont cast to far with it it tends not to tangle too much

tie it with a palomar knot crimps weaken the line and you dont need to use wire only for something like blue shark.i have taken conger to 30lb on 100 lb mono and had no problems.

This "wreck" looks too fresh for conger's house
It is not a matter of upper or lower class, but of being up a while and down a while...
