People: shamoo and I

Duration: 6.30 - 1.30

Tide:low at 9.30

Weather: overcast chance of showers/mist then cleared

Bait: rag, lug, large multinational mixed seafood bag!!!

Rigs: flappers, pats

Results: 3 whiting - 2 dogs

Report: spent most the evening feeding crabs fresh rags and a few rouge lug we had - fishing in close was impossible with all the weedfish - with dusk approaching a whiting fell to me and then to mark

then we thought finally the fish are beating the crabs! - but no it was a false dawn - about 30 mins later i had a dog under a ball of weed to rag - the rag was perilously close to being gone - but we decided why not hang on for the darkness - thing are going to change

i headed to the shop for junk - then mark headed off and returned with "bait"

a frozen mix of prawn, squid, mussel - from 5 different countries - chile, malaysia thailand indonesia and india!!!

first cast mark had a dog on and it dropped - then quiet again - had numerous solid crab bites  thinking the dogs were on again

eventually mark got a dog and another whiting - the time had flown - even with the fishing so bad - at least we learned of a handy emergency bait!!!

there were also 2 lads about 500metres down from us - they were hardly as stupid/stubborn as we were

would love to know how they got on :?: :?: :?:
