Bait: rag, lug, mack, cooked peeled prawn, squid
Rigs: 2 hook flappers and float
Results: 14 pollock, 4 pouting, 2 poor cod, 3 shore rockling and a bright orange sea scorpion :? :?
Report: i have'nt fished this mark for well over 2 months so i decided to give it a go to see what was about. i could'nt believe it, i arrived down to see only 2 other people fishing and neither of them were at the spot i was hopeing to fish :D :D :D :D so i set up as quickly as i could with 2 rods plopped over the edge and a float cast at distance. the first 2 hours were really quiet with only the occasional nibble but nothing solidly taking the bait. all except for the strangest coloured sea scorpion i've ever seen in my life    he was bright orange!!!! he must have been on his summer holidays from cellafield over visiting relitaves or something    . as soon as the light began to fade my float started to get hits :) the pollock were on the feed and they were enjoying the rag and strips of mack at the bottom of my float rig :P :P then around midnight the rockling made an appearance on the bottom happily munching the squid that was on offer. i decided to cast into a different area with the flappers to see if there was anything else feeding and i was almost instantly into a pouting followed by a poor cod    which were all taken on prawn. they did'nt seem interested in the rag, squid or mack :? :? :? fussy fishies  all the pollock were taken on the float and every thing else on the bottom. i'm just glad i brought a float with me as all the rockling were taken in a half hour or so, and the same went for the pouting and poor cod, so the pollock kept things going :) . some of the local kids were showing me pics on thier mobiles of the conger caught earlier in the day. it weighed in at 17lb and they said the guy who caught it reckoned it was only a babby for this mark      might just have to break out the conger tackle on my next trip down   all in all the dee treated me well :D :D .

conger
Hi Al , heard reports from my 2 young uns that the muppet catching the congers is killing them .
When questioned by one of the kids , why he felt the need to kill them his answer was so the conger didnt bite any of the kids jumping of the pier
I think a little education is needed
Hopefully not a member of the site
