Hi Guys,
Looking for a bit of help. Am heading to Clon with the family for a week in mid August and I am looking for a mark. I will probobally have only an odd evening hour or 2 and I dont want to travel long distances. I will only have a spinning rod and as I am still bassless would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction. If people wanted to protect their bass marks just a general mark will do.
Thanks
Caz

Hi Caz,
the point at Courtmacsherry may produce. Try the last two hrs of the going and first 2 hrs of the coming. This is only 30 mins from Clon. Nice place to bring the family as well. You should be able to pick up mackerel here as well if the bass do not show.
Also try the Bar rock at the mouth of Ring estuary. This is the estuary that flows out of Clon itself. Again low water before the fish move up with the flood is best.
If you wish to try for pollock then the seven heads has all you could wish for.
