Heading up to Dungloe area soon. Just making sure Bonner's is still in business, has it gotten any decent (Ammo) frozen bait? Highly unlikely I know  :D but thought I'd ask before I attempt to transport some up.
I know they have other sandeel but its pretty poor quality.

Are you passing Letterkenny, or going around the other way? John McLaughlin in the Swilly Angling Centre has good quality Ammo eels, and you can order excellent quality locally dug rag there as well. That's needs a few days lead time though.
Bonners is still there.......
Nice fish in your avatar. What weight did it go to.

Tanglerat where in Letterkenny is the Swilly Angling Centre - what are the opening hours and do you have a contact number?
Sorry Col, didn't mean to hijack your thread but hope you don't mind. BTW was up that way end of June and fished Cruit Island a couple of times (check out the report) had some v. good pollock in difficult conditions.
Cheers

Head out the R245 Ramelton Rd towards Ramelton. After a couple of miles there's a small crossroads, not quite as far as The Silver Tassie. You tend to come on it quickly, so look out for it. Besides a National School.
There's a sign for it on the road, turn up right over the hill and you'll see it beside a 2 storey house. Phone +353 (0)74 9168496, +353 87 2929888.
Open Mon-Sat, late opening Thurs I think but better check that.
In the fairness of balance, there's also Top Tackle at the bottom of the Port Road, opposite the Grianan Theatre. They're good too.

Don't normally go through Letterkenny but its good to know theres bait available there, may just have to change our route up :D .
Hey Cathal, headin up this weekend, looking forward to gettin back to the area :D . A new tackle shop eh? Will have to check it out but will give Bonner's the business if I can as Charlie (not his sons) has always been helpful.
I was thinking of targetting conger and huss in the rough however after a wee search it seems huss are a rareity round Donegal but nevermind, presume conger are relativley common?
