Report:the auld lad been cryin for me to take him fishing , he even bought a mobile in rosslare , 2 mins walk for me to the beach( explain later) the old man had a heart attack while in the canaries last september, ok now but had a full hip replacement, 3 weeks ago , on crutches he is, mad to go fishing as has been four years since last session, due to botched hip op , asked him if he be ok to get over the small dune yeah no prob, i had to carry everything :cry: looked behind me as i got to the beach , old mans crutches had sunk to the handles with him still attached :lol: :lol: at a 60 degree angle he was :lol: :lol: got him up anyway and found a spot we could both fish near the ferry, no fish but nice to get out with the auld lad , was a brilliant angler in his day , many throphies hopefully he get back on his feet literally, the fish better watch out 8)

A tip for getting your father across the sand on the crutches with a bit more ease,,,, glue some old ice cream container lids to the bottom of the crutches, these will stop the crutches sinking in the sand :idea: :idea: :idea:

Great to see he was able to get out 3 weeks after a hip replacement :lol: :lol: . Pity about the blank but it was 2 and a half hours in daylight :wink: . We've all had blanks but forget about them when we catch on the next session. Still thinking of him at 60 degrees in the sand :roll: What about one of these (below) plenty on room for tackle etc :wink:

Kilmore Quay
You should take your old man to kilmore quay you can drive right down to end of pier and sit in your car and watch the rods if you want.
Usually you will pick up flounder and some coalies.
Go to the north side of the harbor as you would be dogged by boats coming and going on the south side.
