Well done on the Ray. Good to see the beach did not like it had too many people about. The thought of that beach packed with people has allways put me off trying it, but i may give it a go this year.

...........i know what you mean, at times this beach can be a nightmare with people letting their dogs run about on it, they are over p***ing on your box and trying to steal your bait, but i have found it fairly quiet on a dull overcast day, but if its a sunny day the place can be packed with people, and their mutt's running everywere!!

hi gearoid, they all seam to average around from 3lb to 6lb, but a lot at 8lb and 10lb are getting caught, a few weeks ago on down by the pier a guy got one, he could not get it up the pier so he worked it along the side to the slipway were my son unhooked it for him, he said it was the length of his leg and well into double figures.

Nice one....most big ones down here come from one particular mark..everywhere else they average between 2 and 5 lbs.....
In recent years this mark has had 2 16's,13,12,11 numerous 10's and lots between 8 & 10...and thats just what ive heard of...

on down the beach there is a spot behind the golf club that is good for the sea trout and turbot, but the turbot are fairly small, no great size in them...

Well done on the ray :D

The weed has been a problem on most east coast marks this last week or so aswell, there seems to have been no getting away from it

It can make a fishing session soooooo frustrating at times :?
