Zziplex rod bags

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Zziplex rod bags

#1 Post by stevecrow74 »

yes you heard right.. Zziplex are doing rod bags for their rods now.

and what a nice piece of kit they are.
Like the rods they are top quality, nothing flimsy about these..

mine arrived today via delivery (thanks Tom), with one for my profile and one for my 3500s (thanks again Tom), and 5 spare rod bags   ok. so mine got delivered with saltydogs, rampant wreckfishes and MC's rodbags (MC, this is a great excuse for you to get your arse down here and do some more fishing)

upon opening the box the first thing i saw was the quality of the rod bag.. none of this single layered fabric, but a well padded double sleeved long rod bag, with the words ' A Genuine Zziplex' embroidered in the zzilpex colours in 2 places along the rod bag..

time to get the rods..

the rods slid in with relative ease (including coasters) and with plenty of room to spare too, unlike some rod bags where the tip section is sticking out.., and with velcro straps to hold everything snug just tops everything off nicely..

note to user's, dont push the shorter butt section all the way down to the bottom, it might prove hard to retrieve from the depths, especially when you have a 5' section and a 7' section, just push it down a couple of inches below the sleeve and then use the velcro to hold it in place.. but i'm sure if it does slide all the way down it will slide out just as easily ( i just didnt have the room to slide any other direction than up and down)

comes to fit all size zziplex rods

A Genuine Zziplex... just to make other anglers know you have the real deal :D

velcro strap keeps everything snug

plenty of room for foldover, and the rods do slide all the way in ;)

Ohh Man they are sweet!

Had a good feel of them yesterday and more importantly than the fact that they are top quality in construction, plenty of room for your rod, padded to keep rods safe and plenty long and wide, You could hop your rod off a rock and it would be fine in this bag
as if all that wasn't enough they look the absolute BIZZZZZZZ! :D :D :D

I wish I was a rod! :D

Are you saying Fintans rough with his gear     nah!!!

Alby, the fabric is Vinyl backed woven Polyester.....all you need do is give it a gentle scrub with a soft soapy brush (washing up liquidis fine) then rinse it off and let it dry naturaly....you dont want to much heat near anything with vinyl added to it.
