[b]Weather great

[b]Bait mac/squid

[b]Rigs pulley/2 hook flapper

[b]Results

[b]Report one of the worst days i ever had, it was like a joy riding contest for jet ski's!! they were in and out of the harbor every two minutes going as fast as they could, even the locals working there were getting really annoyed with them, and a lot of shouting began, then one guy on a trawler threw a fish box at one of them as he flew past him, things were starting to get ugly. then my rod went, got a big red and white JET SKI...rig gone  a short while later one of them got my line across his face   and he was not to pleased, he started shouting abuse at me, "he got a hell of a lot more back at him" with every thing that was going on i failed to notice a large trawler coming in til it was to late, my other rod took off across the pier, just got hold of it before it went over the side. the line was flying off the reel, locked the drag and held on, then one quick slip of the drag and the line burned right into my hand  so that was enough for me, packed up and headed for home.....

tut tut you should have used wire/low diameter braid as your mainline....that would have been one less jet skiier to worry about!! thank god we dont have them in the estuary..we do have the land going version though...idiots on the kerry beaches with quads/dirt bikes playing a game of "let see how close i can drive to this lad before i hit i hit him"...

You have my sympathy
Lost a rod to the pilot boat at Cappa pier last year

And had a sand yacht (weird 3 wheel buggy with windsurfer type sail) trash my bait and tripod on Inch in kerry when he flew through all our gear out of control

This fishing lark is suuposed to be relaxing!
2014 Species : No 3 spined lesser spotted blennies,no cuckoo guppies, no blue throated chicken groupers, just big fish.------------------------------------------------------------------

I have had that a couple of times so dont even bother!! I just pack up and leave.. sounded like a crazy fishing session.
I have fished that pier a couple of times. Is there any other decent wee spots around there as I will be up there during the summer again.

MC these guys would not care if there was a speed limit or not, they think they can do what ever they want. when they sit on one of them things they think they are sterling moss........ there was another incident at culdaf beach at the weekend with jet ski's, a few swimmers were nearly hit by them, someone phoned the Garda, and they got them below the car park, the Garda told them to remove the jet ski's from the water, and leave, or they would confiscate their keys....
as ole rab c said " see me' see the sea' i love the sea me"
right i'am off for a swally!!!!!!! so were's the F***'n purse!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about about all the hassle mate  .Something should be done about those jetskis before someone is killed. Remember Kirsty Mc Coll  . Sounds like you'll have to head to one of your out of the way marks Fishermannum  . Bit of peace and quiet called for
