Rays...?

#1 Post by dillon_the_rabbit »

Ello Chaps

One of the species I am looking to get this year is a ray. I have never caught one, but would love to add one to my species caught list. Is there anywhere on the east coast, not a million miles from Dublin that would offer me a decent chance of hooking one. Last year I did a lot of fishing out of Greystones, but not sure if you can launch from there atm, what with all the building works going on.

I have been told that Cahore has a nice little slip and that there is some decent boat fishing there. Would this be a place to try for, say, thornies, and maybe tope or smuts?

TIA
Matt

If you're collecting rays, one of the best things about them is there's so many different species. it doesn't just end when you get one... :D

I recently got a Cuckoo Ray for the first time. Starting to think Undulate now. :D
