Donegal ray hunt

People: me and 6 others from my club

Duration: 5hours

Tide: filling

Weather: sunny,but windy

Bait:makeral,sandeel,squid,bluie,lug,crab

Rigs: various clipped rigs

Results: 10 rays and 7doggies

Was my first trip out in months,was good to get the rod in my hand once again. And even better i got my first ray of the year

The rays were not huge, we measured wingspan, 32cm-45cm...so around 2lb to 4lbers.

Hi there, sounds like a good session. Where were you fishing if you dont mind me asking. Ive caught ray before from a couple of locations in donegal as thats where im from so it would be great to have somewhere that produces results as good as that!

well done on the ray mate 8) had a few myself on Saturday from a rock mark in Donegal, there is some large ones being got on a well known mark in Donegal!! 8) 8)
as ole rab c said " see me' see the sea' i love the sea me"
right i'am off for a swally!!!!!!! so were's the F***'n purse!!!!!!!
