Veals DIY Metal Tripod kit

#1 Post by rex hunt »

Has anybody out there ordered this kit???? Any good:?:

Veals DIY Metal Tripod Kit

We get many requests for tripods from overseas customers but due to their length the cost of postage is often more then twice the cost of the rest. With this in mind we have come up with a tripod kit based on the latest PRO tripod. The kit has the PRO's double head and double butt surport plus all the brackets, screws etc needed to make your own tripod. All you need to add are your own legs and due to the way in which the brackets are designed a wide range of different sized tubes can be fitted so you should be able to find some that fit.
Price: £25.00 (Including VAT at 17.5%)

Have you looked at what your local shop can sell a tripod for? I think by the time you add postage and buy the bits you need, the veals tripod will not be that cheap.

True enough. Yeah have checked the local shops, but I'm after either an Ian Golds or a Veals Tripod-seem to be non existant here in the West?

It would probably be as cheap to get a Ian Golds super match already assembled from veals. Once there is any kind of bulk veals will send the item by courier with a straight 20 sterling charge no matter how much gear you get so you could always get a rod and a reel as well to save money

It may have more to do with customers further a field where rates would be different.

You could try Viking Tackle in Bray, I dont think they charge very much to ship over there.... http://www.vikingtackle.ie/

Cheers Donagh. Just emailed veals and they confirmed what you said £20 regardless of weight. Ian Golds it is then :D and a few extras (it would be a waste not to given the reasonable postage charges!!!)
