People: Myself and a pal

Duration: 2hrs

Tide: an hour either side of high

Weather: probably too good

Bait: artificial

Rigs: spinners lures feathers etc

Results: nada blank zilch

Report: threw the spinning rod in the car and decieded to head out after work for a couple of hours to see if any macks had ventured in with the good weather we've been having. Tried lots of different lures spinners etc to no avail still to early, although there were around 5 boats that went out while we were there. I was talking to a couple of them and they said that they've been catching a few macks just off shore from Spiddal so shouldn't be too much longer before bait stocks can be topped up. Went snorkelling for a bit after and saw a good few flatties breaking cover the water temp was still a bit chilly but has come on a fair bit since the bank holiday weekend.
