People:me

Duration:15:00 - 18:30

Tide:low water:16:20

Weather:flat calm occasionaly slight breeze

Bait:mackerel

Rigs:portsmouth loops, pennell clipped

Results:1 ray 1lb, 1 dog, 4 whiting to 25cm, 2 dab to 20cm

Report:decided to fish a different mark as the other fishing was getting a little boring...eager to get out and try my modified mag elite (replaced 6-star braking system with the old brake block set-up...little work with the needle file and its ready to go. I'd recommend anyone to do it as the new brake blocks are way too big  ) Anyway fishing was poor enough. Got most of the fish on the turn of tide and not alot else to report..Estuary looked well being as calm as a lake....the highlight of the day was the a**hole who arrived in his boat shortly after i set up..he decided to anchor 130-yards off the shore straight in front of my rods and he began to fish ..I bit my tongue and decided not to shout out at him but calmly(and skilfully) landed a baited trace within 20 feet of the boat..didnt bother him at all ...and he fished on with his six foot spinnng rod & reel for an hour or so and he then left...I mean even the most dim-witted individual would know not to anchor where some1 is shore fishing....anyway enjoyd the day nice to get out as always..used up the last of my mackerel supplies so if any1 knows where i get 20 or so fresh fish as i cant get over to clare/kerry in the near future :(

Nice fishing Gearoid :) , any news on how kilteery is fishing knowing your prolific number of outings I presume you've wetted a line there over the good weather.
Life is always getting in the way of my fishing....
