People:just me

Duration: from about 2pm to 9.30pm

Tide: was in then went out

Weather:wow, wonderful

Bait:everything i had in frezzer, ie frozen lug, crab, sandeel, bluey

Rigs: 2 hook loop rig size 1+ 3/0 pulley rig

Results: 1 flounder at 30cm (didnt blank mr74  )

Report: had planned to go go early but life as it is i didnt get away until late, the rain was beltting down when i left home but by the time i got to the mark the sun had come out and was great.

as you can see i set up two rods, one with big baits in the hope of an early thornie, the other rod i used to see if anything was about. Wasnt hopeful as i was only getting the tail end of the incoming tide and would be fishing the receeding tide mostly. Any way after a few bites on the scatching rod i managed to hook a flounder, it took the frozen crab , it was the only posivite bite i got on that rod, once the tide started to go out bites dried up.

my only hope was to launch out big baits in the hope of a ray at slack water, it worked, as i was chating the rachet went, stopped, i put the reel in gear and the rod looped over, i went to set the hook and it was gone. All well i packed up and left, just as the other fellas on the pier where getting bites (should have got mackeral) before i left they where unhooking a nice turbort and a small spider crab. Must say the day was great chatting to the two lads and there mum, the craic was brillent even if the fishing wasnt, but at least i managed to get out, until the next time, tight lines everyone
