Galway Co. Co. have published draft bye laws for beaches, recreational craft and personal watercraft. The fisheries board have already drafted a submission, but some of ye may want to make a submission too. There are a couple of things that could affect sea angling - having to obtain consent from the council to hold any sporting event on a beach, prohibition on erecting any tent, etc that could include beach buddies, PWCs being banned within 200m but only during the summer season. Luckily, they haven't tried to ban angling from anywhere, so its not like the Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown proposals last year.

Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!

If that isn't unacceptable, wtf is? :?
Submission made objecting to that proposal regarding holding fishing competitions, amongst others...
Everyone else more than welcome to make submissions...
