#1 Post by FMCN »

People: Donagh Dearoid and myself

Duration: 31/2 hours on the Shannon all day Sunday.

Tide:

Weather: easterlys to gale force

Bait: frozen mack squid and sandell fresh king rag

Rigs:

Results: thornbacks wrasse and pollack

Report: Report from Donagh covers the Shannon session. Met up with the guys on Saturday and got a nice 9 lb thornie. Nice session in not the best conditions. Heres a bit more and a couple of photos.

Next day i decided on a bit of wrasse fishing and a few rock marks around the Dingle peninsula. First mark i tried on Slea head produced a blank. Moved to rocks near Ballydavid and managed 1 wrasse about 2 lb and a pollack about the same weight that grabbed the ragworm on the retrieve. Moved again and got another couple of wrasse best 3.5 lb. A few there but still not about in numbers.

Sorry misspelt Gearoids name and it was all day Sunday in Dingle. Those closeups really aren't flattering.

Thanks, frozen mack and squid wrap took the big one. I caught the second one on plain frozen mack, i think Gearoids was on frozen mack as well.
