People: Me, Gearoid and FMCN

Duration: I was there 11:45 till 3pm. Lads were there earlier and left earlier

Tide:Low water early flood

Weather:Easterly gale force wind. Cloudy

Bait:I had frozen crab, mackerel and small quanitity of sand eel and squid

Rigs: Golds 2/0 2 hook rigs on one rod and 4/0 running ledger on the other

Results:
Me: 5lb ray and small whiting
Gearoid: 3 1/2lb ray
FMCN: ray around 2lb and a 9lber

Report:
Gearoid and FMCN were there before hand were at the usual spot and FMCN had a small ray when I arrived around 11:30. I had a 5lb around 1:30pm to a side of mack on the ledger and the lads had their rays after that. I fished 200 yards to the right off boulders so I wasn`t in contact with the lads. The tide ran very hard there and though to swing a cast after the tide came in. Also though to get out from. I had hoped the peeler would up my chances but it was ignored.

I also had a small whiting on the early flood and had a good few small bites at that stage. Whiting are still around. Maybe the conger are busy feeding on them to bother with my mackerel. Should of tried the whiting but released it.
