Hi
Myself and a mate Eamonn are heading out with Dick Hayes early this coming Friday. It is 50 Euro a head for the day, bring your own bait and bites but he can rent (probably give) rods out for the day including tackle. Nothing arranged bar meeting on the small boats jetty in Kilmore at 9 am sharp.
Codling is the main target this time of year, lots of them about but nothing too big (yet!). Mackerel have all but disappeared but you will need to bring bait - ragworm is ideal, crab is expensive, frozen squid and mackerel are availabel from John O'Brien in Waterford City or the shops in Wexford.
Might persuade him to let us have a go for the Bass / Flats close inshore... BTW I have the digital camera along for the ride so you might get to see yourself in the Irish Angler in 2005!
FWIW...

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...
2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
