Anybody find easy tide been wrong lately?
I was in Wexford the weekend, timed the tide for going out but got to my spot and it was still coming in !! and by the looks of it it had only just started.
Easy tide wrong?

Is this by any chance near Courtown?
The tide barely moves during neaps around Courtown. Difference between high and low is about 10cm and there is no real clear distinction between high and low. If you're using easy tide around here, ignore the times and look at the graph of water height. It will give you a better idea.
The phenomenon is called an "amphidrome". http://books.google.ie/books?id=Ndyg4yS ... #PPA125,M1
Also, in Wexford town the wind has a big effect on the tide. Don't know anything about that but one of the other guys from around the town will know more.

just back from wexford town the east wind is stoping the tide from stripping, when 1 hour is added to easy tide i find it very good.
i agree with teacher on courtown ,i spoke to a local that has
made a living from the sea all his life and he will tell you
that the tide in courtown is nearly all ways different from the tide book
