[b]People me and dave

[b]Duration 5.45am to 8.30am

[b]Tide H/W app;8.20am

[b]Weather freezing cold wet & windy

[b]Bait sprats

[b]Rigs one hook on running lead

[b]Results 15 sea/Drock'en trout

[b]Report the mate dave who is here on a visit wanted a bit of fishing before he went back to london ( flying out today ) so it was an early start this morning. we didn't bother with all the gear, a rod & reel each, tackle box in the pocket, and a flask full of sprats. raped ourselves up and headed off. got to my spot at about 5.30am and before dave had even baited up i had a trout on the shore of about 1 1/2lb then dave hit one about the same size, things just got better and better, at the end of our session we had got 15 trout, also i had hooked and lost four trout dave lost two, and we had countless takes and missed them. i can safely say that this year has to be the best year on lough foyle for many years. this year my PB. is 3 3/4lb, will be looking to beat this before the end of the season. and dave's flying out this afternoon a happy man, ( all trout were returned, bar two for the pan ) 8)

What kind of condition were the trout in? Were they in good shape or were they recovering from spawning yet?
