Greystones southbeach 3/4/08

[b]Weather Tropical

[b]Bait Rag Mack and Squid

[b]Rigs Everything

[b]Results Codling Wrasse Dab flounders Whiting Rockling Doggie's and 1 coalie...




[b]Report Hit the south beach in greystones for a session with the two lads and got off to a great start when Robbie had a double with a codling and a Wrasse. Weather was great and all night the rods kept rattling with loads of different spieces including a 34cm Coalie for Aidan his personel best Ill try post pic later :wink:

Great range of species there.

I fished the rocks by the harbour there in Greystones last night myself, 10 whiting and 1 dab.

2 of the whiting were a half decent size though approx 25cm I would guess :!:

Calm sea, not a drop of wind and warm enough to fish without the jacket on....Cant beat it :D

Great results, 8 species, just what I like to hear, very encouraging at last :lol:
Species '20 (14) 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Codling, Whiting, Pollock, Coalfish, Pouting, Corkwing Wrasse ,Ballan Wrasse, Poor Cod, Dab ,Smoothhound,Flounder, Thornback Ray


For the rich, there is therapy. For the rest of us, there is FISHING! --

In my experience 8 species is nothing unusual on Greystones South.
2008 Species: Flounder, whiting, coal fish, Dogfish, rockling, dab.

Sorry man, not trying to be negative, I fish it a lot and have regularly done the same, I was commenting more on the excellence of the mark than their fishing skills.
Wasn't my intention, well done guys.

Cheers lads Eoinmag is right though there is another few speices that beach can throw up its a suprise mark :)
