gave it 4 hours yesterday in hope of a ray.fishing very poor with only a few small whiten and blennys.had a load of crab,mackerel and sandeels only had one good bite and missed it tho.heading up that way in a few weeks hope fishing will be after picking up a bit.

what tide did you fish???

well gearoid
fished it from 930-130 think high tide was 1230 or so what way does it fish best,is it a good spot for ray?all fish were got over 3 casts altogether on the top of tide.

you should have fished it from 12:30- 4:30 on a tide like that or as a general rule always fish high tide down....in my opinion its "THE" spot on the estuary for big rays, you mite only get 2-3 a session but they will be bigger than at other marks two best ray i heard of this year in the estuary were 16 and 13lbs both off the pier...bit more to it than just fishing the ebb which im sure you will understand if i dont post here...
alternatively fish a few more shore marks in the estuary and pick up the smaller ray in bigger numbers
your choice quality or quantity!!! :D
