#1 Post by Donagh »

Wheres the best place to get replacement bits for Ian Golds stands. One of the top holders on my super match stand is broken.

Donagh, I would like to know where you bought that stand and hw long ago.....Goldsy did have a problem with a batch of plastic heads that we brittle and broke easy, especially in the cold....but that was ages ago and he thought they had all found there way to the surface by now....seems they havent.

I know he now tests them with a hammer every now and then, just so the nightmare never comes back :(

I have replied to your PM :)

I had the same problem ,though I just fixed it with a strip of stainless steel strap ( normally used to fix signs to lamp posts ) across the top and used the screws for the legs to hold it in place . it is about 10 years old now I think and still going strong

Thanks very much to Tom and Ian gold ,now i'm running about like an Ian Golds advertising hording with my back-pack ,rod holdall and newly tarted up tripod . great gear and good service if theres a problem ,even when the tripod is 10 years + old and has a fair bit of heavy usage its still going strong .
