Fished Culdaff pier today from 1130 until 1630, on a rising tide.

The first two hours were dead but then it all kicked off, myself and a friend landed around 40 fish between us, all of which went back home safely.

We caught an even mixture of pollack and coalies. We caught them on everything - mackerel, squid, mussles, on the bottom, floating, spinning, hokkai rigs... everything! It was a great session (at last)!

Biggest fish would have just about hit 3lbs, but even so it was a great day out.

Damned good spot for coalies is that Culdaff Pier, this time of the year they'll eat all your bait and more! If you got one of 3lb there then that is a good fish from that venue. No whiting show amongst them Irish Shamrock?
