more than likely farmed in the Mediterranean, they grow quicker down there with the warm water, it would be worse if they were locally sourced fish.

No, it would be illegal if they were locally sourced fish!
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!

They're farmed in Greece, check the labels.

I have a freezer full of their bass, bream and rainbows, very nice fish.

whats wrong with them selling farmed fish from greece lads?

people eat fish always have eaten fish and always will eat fish, so if the shops are sourcing farmed fish from abroad and people are using this then surely thats a good thing as there not going to be buying wild fish from our shores.

I'd strongly advise anyone who hasn't tried the bream to pick some up, beautiful fish.

I've been doing it in thai green curries with the whole fish added to steam in the curry at the end. I've also been doing it with rice and with Beijing style sweet and sour sauce which is a Ken Hom recipe.
The sweet and sour sauce is easy, 2 tbsp sugar, 3 Tbsps light soy sauce and 1 tbsp chinese black vinegar, chop some fine scallions and mix it in with the sauce then pour small amounts over the fish and the rice, delicious.

And that's just reading about it........that's how good my cooking is ;)

Oh yeah if you try the sweet and sour you can use the sauce with steamed or barbecued or whatever fish, I've done it with both the aforementioned, it also works well with any fish, but I love it with the bream.
