I use powerpro 30lb. Best braid would be subjective, but I used the opportunity of picking up 600m of it once in Henrys when they had a deal running. I use it on a spinning multiplier and on my main beachcasting reel which is a shimano aerlex 8000, backed with string, was put on for me by Alan Prosser in ABC, I think I'd use mono taped down with electrical tape as I did on my own rod, as I find I can almost empty it down to the string backing with a good cast.

Really depends what ye are using it for? Are you spinning/plugging? Personally not fond of power pro! Check out veals mail order they have verivas braid which is perfect for plugging, really fine, lovely castability and the 15lb is well able to deal with whatever Bass pick it up.... If you are only starting out then maybe up the breaking strain a bit as it takes a bit of getting used to... drop me a pm for more info... Braid fanatic wont really use anything else....
