high @ 6:00pm

fished from 3 to 8:30

weather: very wind first hour or two, got warmer and calmer until no wind. could be better!

bait crab, mack, squid, sandeel

rigs: 2/3 hook flapper

results: 2 flounder, ~10 whiting (small 15cm or under), lsd( just under 3lbs! )

noting until 5:30 ish, small flounder(14cm) on crab ( surprised by small fish on relatively large bait:) ) had pale red/orange spots, don't think it was a place tho. still not sure how to tell dab...ect apart. grand didn't blank, rexaled and enjoyed the improving weather. 6:15 flounder bit smaller( mack ).
6:30 onwards whiting, moving back and forth between two rods until 8:30. all whiting fell to mack r mack/squid.
havn a smoke getting ready to pack up and leave, heard rod rattle, looked up at it hoping around, my first thougnt was its going over!! normally leave it down in the rest but with no wind, and myself content with/expecting whiting had moved it more vertical. grabbed it, nice bend in the rod, hadn't a clue what i was in to, half thinking nice pollack. put up a bit of a fight, but the fact that i was into something decent was all i needed.
lifted out a 2 1/2 foot lsd, was dark so not sure if it wasn't a smut. had taken mack/squid. was happy with session's up until then, nuff said..:)
first lsd, nice fish, thought they would have bigger teeth

ya, same as meself, blanked on a beach couple of weeks back, decided to hit the pier the next day to make up for it. was windy cold rained on/off, with the occasional strong gusts that almost collapsed the tri-pod. the whole area was full of mud from the estuary out 6/700 yards! had seen it like that before, but not that bad, and it normally moved out at high tide, but held in there all day!! held out the dusk, tided had gone so left. to blanks in a row!! yesterday couldn't have been more different:) weather went form good to perfect! and no mud!
