North wexford, and Wicklow pier

#1 Post by Pat Spillane »

People:Me

Duration:Wex 1600-2030 Wicklow 2130-2345

Tide:Wex 1900 ish Wicklow 2200 ish

Weather:

Bait:Lug, Razor sandeel

Rigs:2 hook CD

Results:Wex whiting, rockling and 1 codling. Wicklow whiting, rockling and codling

Report:Fished the rise on a beach past Kilmicheal that I had not been on before. Very slow with baits coming back untouched till dark when the small fish started to move in. Another small tap that I nearly ignored produced a codling which hit the scales at 3 ld. had to meet some one in Wicklow so fished there till just before midnight, only small fish mostly whiting with a couple of rockling and codling thrown in also.

And the name of the beach is........
Damned if I know. I have been moving around a lot this year, I fished the beach the far side of Ballymoney the last time with some decent flounder.
Hi Paul I get out every second week at worst, always during the week, I was thinking of heading down your way at some stage. If you are heading up let me know and I will meet up.

Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.
