People: myself and my delusions

Duration: 16.30-19.30 approx.

Tide: LT and then filling - but could hardly tell

Weather: gales, squals, gales, horizontal rain, sleet, torrential rain, extremely heavy mist, you get the picture

Bait: refrozen, mack, lug, sandeel

Rigs: single hook pat

Results: 4lb+ sea trout!

Report: was ill with the lack of fishing - sat out friday and couldnt stay away saturday even though the weather was insane

struggled to get the gear out of the car and put rain gear on - was completely thinking i would just leave but said no have 5 casts to myself

had checked this beach out before and knew the third lifebouy was the spot with the patch of clear ground

could hardly cast with the wind

rods were bouncing round in the rest - had the two casted out - was messing with bait and then - WALLOP!

The rod jumped out of the rest - thought to myself i didnt feel a huge gust - then it dawned on me - hello!

grapped the rod and it was moving like hell - started reeling and he started jumping - great bar of silver out of the water

started heading along the beach - put a great fight in - jumped 2 more times - great sport

after about 2 minutes i got him in

this fish was wired full of beans - so full of life - he was put back in asap

mack strip on the pat

feck the doctorate - this was a major achievement for me!

got a pic will put up later

smile on my face still

hung on for another 2 hours - but it wasnt repeated

just got absolutely soaked - but didnt care

happy days!
