Hello all,
Thinking of getting myself one of these for estuary work over mud / stone bottom fishing for bass and also for floating for mullet.
Anyone got any experience or comments on the rod?
Thanks

Wow, this is my favourite rod and also my lucky rod...first fish off this was a 9.5lb bass...and everytime i bring it out i always catch fish...always...got my first ray with it also i think...the rod itself has the most beautiful action, with a medium to soft action but more on the medium side, well able to cast 5 oz, i have had mine rock fishing...the rod is also a very good loking rod, i know you can get it custom built but ilove the factory black...of all my rod, including the profile, this is my favourite because of how accessible it is, very lovely rod to fish with...bite dtection is fantatsic, it can pick up rockling bites like bass bites, but has the backbone to tackle huge bass and decent ray up over mixed ground and huge surfs...has enough backbone to tackle foul ground and haul cod by the threes over gullies...cant rate it highly enough...talk to rockhopper, he will do you a lovely job on a zziplex he is a professional rod builder

Got one of these myself, christened it with a nice bass and a ball of other bits and pieces a couple of weeks ago. Use it with a medium sized FS and 20lb braid and as Dave says, the bite detection is superb. Loads of backbone to welly a bait out too should you so wish. Lovely looking bit of kit.
