West Cork Beach 27/02/08

#1 Post by Seaniebo »

People: Myself and Lumpy

Duration: 17.00 - 22.30

Tide: HW ~ 21.00

Weather: Like a summers evening, colder after dark

Bait: Lug, mac, squid and crab

Rigs: Flappers and clipped downs

Results: 1 Bass landed, 30 + coalies, 6 flounder and a doggie.

Report:

Great nights fishing. Bass was about 6lb, first chuck too. Then we both missed a couple and dropped a couple more in the surf. As it started to get dark the coaliess came on in numbers. All a good size up to about 35 - 40 cm. The flounders werent too bad either, all over 20cm and up to about mid thirties. Couldnt believe the fishing for the end of february. Will try get the pics up at some stage but left the USB cable for the camera back in Dublin. How I miss that place

Lumpy did well seeing as you only had two coalies.
UP THE DEISE!!!!!!!

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

good fishing all the same, pity about the few fish dropped but there's always next time.
