I had a look at that rod in the shimano catalogue, it looks like a good rod alright. I am sure I read a post on the rod somewhere before, it might on been on another forum. I will give a quick search.

Hi Derek,

It was on the worldseafishing forum I saw it. A guy asked the question and nobody had ever used one but had seen them in tackleshops alright.

Probably a rod that is used alot in Japan.

I own a pair of them and they are lovely rods for fishing with 120 to 150 grs with thin lines ( from 0.18 to 0.28 ) not for fat line. they have fuji low ryder rings and fuji reel seat for fixed spool. you have a sof(cx)200 grs max, hard(bx) 250grs max and extra hard(xxxb)300grs max action. They cast very well with OTG not overhead. Cause you must to use it with thin lines is for clean beaches, and if you have big fisht must to have a good break in your reel. This rods is not for multipler reels, try it with good Shimano(ultegra,Aerotecnium,Poer aero...) or Daiwa(basia, tournament..) reel.
