hoping to head out next weekend with my niece who's never been out before and was wondering if anyone could point me towards a decent spot with short casting and easy acess close to belfast. i was thinking of ardglass pier but dont know if theres anything catching there at the minute, any replies welcome

If you can get your hands on some rag or lug d/dee should throw up a few coalies at least ,also small whiting and maybe a codling or 2 ,squid strips also work pretty well if your stuck .

Around the Bangor area is fine if you're using ffloats and spinners, legering will frustrate you with lost tackle.
Orlock is great with wrasse and pollack on the float, and the odd cod are caught about 50yds out.
