People: me...

Duration: 4:30 pm to 8.00

Tide: that time of the month here...

Weather:Clearing after a storm.., good surf!

Bait:Sand eel, lug tipped with squid.

Rigs: Flapper

Results: 2 flounder, 1 codling, 15 (+??) whiting.

Report:
After blanking at the SAISAC comp in Ballygrannigan ( ) , I decided to use up my remaining bait and try and make amends . The wind had been promised to drop so I left the folks a bit later than I would have otherwise. After dropping in the SAISAC score sheets to Jonathan, I arrived at the beach just before sunset. I had had a steady stream of whiting to about 25 cm when the rod gave a solid nod and then went slack. Reeling in I felt a nice enough weight at the end, and the 4 hook just about held out as I pulled him through the surf. After that it was back to the whiting and two flounder. Didn't make up for my blank though!
