waterproof smocks

#1 Post by MC »

just a question, how do you wash a bib+brace and smock, i guess you cant just put it in the washing machine, thinking of going for the greys set as i find my floatie too bulky at times, but still use it for rock fishing

Instructions on some waterproof gear says to wash them in the machine with pure soap flakes (i.e. not detergent). Tried it and it works. Might need re-waterproofing after a few washes ...

getting into the shower is def the easiest way ,though if your worried about the proofing being affected get some of this stuff

and use it instead of fairy liquid which is pretty harsh .
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

best way to do them is on the grass wash down with mild soap and put them on a hanger and hang them out to dry.as ronald says watch what detergent you use. :)

hang them in the shed, the draught that passes through the barnasheds will keep them airated and a smell can only last so long til the bacteria have nothing left to live on
